In an effort to provide information concerning the contributions to history that Indian Territory Freedmen and their descendants have made, it is important to recognize the Freedmen and their descendants as men and women who have served in the military.

Most of the individuals post on this and subsequent pages are Freedmen descendants, yet all are not. However, because all of these individuals lived in and near Ardmore Oklahoma in the 1920's, 1930's and served in the 1940's, they would have known and had a relationship with a freedmen or their descendant, through marriage, education, and socially.

Where we can identify a known freedmen descendant, we will designate him/her as such but we feel it is important for genealogical purposes to present all of the persons we have gathered for this page despite any direct freedmen descent.

Enjoy the video and subsequent military biography pages. We Welcome you input and comments.
